Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kirk Hammett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Papi Chocolate! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chocolate looks to score with a jab to the body but Hammett is just out of range. Hammett lands a jab to Chocolate's midsection. Hammett blocks a jab. Hammett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chocolate is trying to defend but Hammett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hammett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chocolate's head. Hammett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hammett stops Chocolate from getting back to his feet.
Chocolate really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hammett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hammett is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chocolate sees it coming and defends easily. Chocolate wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Hammett is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hammett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chocolate is refusing to be controlled, as Hammett sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hammett throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hammett looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hammett is keen to just control but Chocolate is a slippery customer. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hammett connects with a nice short shot to Chocolate's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammett is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chocolate defends it well. Chocolate is trying to stand back up but Hammett is controlling him

Hammett looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammett is trying for a kimura here. Chocolate looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Hammett wins by kimura!
