Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Shinsato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyson Diaz! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shinsato clinches up against the cage. Shinsato tightens his grip and picks Diaz up, before dumping him to the ground. Diaz manages to land in guard. Diaz is looking for a triangle but Shinsato pushes his legs off easily.

Shinsato postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Diaz is looking for a triangle but Shinsato pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz has a closed guard, preventing Shinsato from standing up. Diaz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Shinsato has passed into half guard!
Shinsato is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinsato tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Shinsato throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Shinsato seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Diaz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shinsato. Diaz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Diaz looks gassed! Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shinsato thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Shinsato is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shinsato looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Shinsato gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Shinsato closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diaz quickly recovers to half guard. Shinsato escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinsato instigates a clinch. Shinsato throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Diazs head. Shinsato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shinsato fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Diaz with a lazy takedown attempt and Shinsato counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Diaz! Shinsato lands a big shot there that rocks Diaz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Shinsato has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Shinsato looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Shinsato has isolated one of Diaz's arms. Diaz looking to fight him off but Shinsato twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
