Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between G Kar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leif Ericssonl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kar comes into the arena with Babylon 5 blaring out of the sound system. Ericssonl has chosen Battle for Asgard as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Leif Ericssonl was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Kar finds it's target.
It looks like Leif Ericssonl has been cut.
Kar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ericssonl.
Ericssonl misses with a body shot.
Ericssonl drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A swing and a miss from Ericssonl.
Kar works the jab nicely.
Ericssonl throws an overhand right that lands on Kar's shoulder, as Kar tries to avoid the shot.
Ericssonl looks to land a right hand but Kar moved out of range.

and Ericssonl counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kar! Ericssonl lets Kar back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

and Kar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ericssonl.
Leif Ericssonl is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kar thows a body shot but no joy.
Kar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ericssonl.
Kar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ericssonl uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kar.
Ericssonl falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ericssonl takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kar slips under a jab from Ericssonl.
Ericssonl takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ericssonl scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ericssonl lands a left and a right that send Kar crashing to the mat, dazed. Ericssonl thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Kar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kar seems to have got his legs back now.
Ericssonl looks to land a left hand but Kar moved out of range nicely.

Kar throws a body punch but Ericssonl moves out of range.

Ericssonl might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ericssonl circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ericssonl counters with a huge right that knocks Kar out cold! Ericssonl is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
