Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bublasaur Venusaur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoryu Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Venusaur comes to the cage accompanied by Bulbasaur bongo bebop. Bublasaur Venusaur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Venusaur!
Venusaur has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Venusaur there as he acknowledges the shot.
Venusaur throws a sloppy head kick and Ken moves out of range easily.
Ken throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Venusaur sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ken throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Venusaur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Venusaur misses with a hook.
Ken avoids the head kick by Venusaur.
Venusaur lands a high kick!
Ken moves out of range of the body kick from Venusaur.
Ken throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Venusaur avoids the body shot from Ken.
Venusaur motions for Ken to come forward. Venusaur throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Venusaur tries to clinch up but Ken circles away and keeps his distance.
Venusaur lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ken will feel that in the morning.

Ken stuns Venusaur with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Ken fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Venusaur throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Venusaur buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ken misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Venusaur.
Venusaur throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ken throws a hook to the side of Venusaur's head but Venusaur sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Venusaur has managed to clinch.

Ken tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Venusaur just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ken jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Venusaur walks away with a smile on his face. Ken gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bublasaur Venusaur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shoryu Ken.
Ken takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ken shoots in for a takedown but Venusaur shows good takedown defense.
Bublasaur Venusaur is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Venusaur keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Venusaur is looking to land body kicks.
Venusaur moves out of range of the strikes.
Ken slips a straight right by Venusaur.

Ken throws a lazy right hand but Venusaur sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Venusaur wants to clinch up but Ken keeps it at a distance.
Venusaur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ken on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Crunch! Venusaur slams his shin into Ken's torso.
Venusaur throws a push kick but Ken slaps the foot to one side.

Venusaur dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ken. That did some damage!

Venusaur moves in looking to clinch but Ken pushes him off.
Venusaur lands with a thumping leg kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Venusaur looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ken shoots in looking for a takedown. Venusaur tries to sprawl out of it but Ken keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Venusaur manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bublasaur Venusaur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ken, as that shot connected.
Ken misses with a hook.
Venusaur throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ken sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Venusaur tries to sprawl but Ken drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ken controlling the pace.
Venusaur is trying to get back to full guard.

Venusaur moves into full guard.
Venusaur keeping moving, preventing Ken from controlling successfully.
Ken missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Venusaur looking to control.
Venusaur wants to sweep but no luck.
Ken looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Venusaur bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ken's guard.

Ken looking for a sweep. Not yet Ken, not yet.
Ken manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Venusaur manages to get himself to full guard.
Ken won't allow Venusaur to sweep him here.
Ken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Venusaur swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ken working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Venusaur on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Venusaur tries to get out of the position.

Ken is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ken lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Ken drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ken jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ken postures up in Venusaur's guard and throws a big left but Venusaur blocks it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bublasaur Venusaur.
I think Venusaur has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
