Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Atlas Klaat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodent Scotch Tape! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klaat misses with a body kick. Scotch Tape looks for the body kick but Klaat saw that one coming. Scotch Tape throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A nice leg kick lands there from Klaat. Scotch Tape avoids the head kick by Klaat.
Scotch Tape throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Klaat misses with a kick to the body.
Scotch Tape ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Klaat moves away. Scotch Tape throws a sloppy head kick and Klaat moves out of range easily. Klaat lands a head kick!
Scotch Tape throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Atlas Klaat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klaat throws a lazy right hand but Scotch Tape sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Scotch Tape throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Scotch Tape misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Klaat checks a low kick from Scotch Tape. Klaat throws a sloppy head kick and Scotch Tape decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klaat's guard. Klaat is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Klaat keeping moving, preventing Scotch Tape from controlling successfully. Scotch Tape wants to pass the guard but Klaat is keeping the position. Scotch Tape trying to control the position from guard on top but Klaat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Scotch Tape sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rodent Scotch Tape. Klaat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A head kick misses from Klaat. A decent looking body kick lands there for Klaat. Scotch Tape takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Klaat is looking to land body kicks. Klaat throws a head kick that misses and Scotch Tape counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klaat feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Scotch Tape's calf. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Klaat lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scotch Tape has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scotch Tape and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Scotch Tape moves out of range of the body kick. A clash of legs there as Scotch Tape blocks the low kick. Klaat looks to throw a body kick and Scotch Tape counters with a single leg into guard. Klaat didn't expect that. Scotch Tape showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Klaat keeping moving, preventing Scotch Tape from controlling successfully. Scotch Tape won't allow Klaat to get back to his feet. Klaat will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Scotch Tape controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Scotch Tape pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Klaat is keeping the position for now. Klaat is looking to stand up but Scotch Tape isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rodent Scotch Tape. A head kick misses from Klaat. Scotch Tape tries to clinch but Klaat is having none of it. Klaat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scotch Tape was well out of range. Poor timing from Klaat. Klaat misses with a body shot.
Scotch Tape steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Klaat. That one must have hurt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scotch Tape misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Atlas Klaat will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Klaat thuds his shin into the meat of Scotch Tape's side. Klaat throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Klaat lands a high kick!
Klaat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Klaat throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Klaat throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Scotch Tape. Scotch Tape fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Klaat avoids it really well and circles away. Klaat throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scotch Tape throws a low kick but Klaat avoids it. Scotch Tape walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Klaat circles away from the clinch attempt.

Scotch Tape pushes Klaat up against the cage in a clinch. Klaat tries to break the clinch but Scotch Tape is controlling the position. Scotch Tape drops down looking for an ankle pick but Klaat pulls his leg out and moves away.

Scotch Tape looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Klaat showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Scotch Tape.

Klaat throws a solid leg kick but Scotch Tape takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Klaat. No luck for Scotch Tape with that takedown attempt. Atlas Klaat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodent Scotch Tape. Scotch Tape gets a takedown into half guard. Klaat is trying to escape back to his feet but Scotch Tape uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Scotch Tape is looking to take a break and control but Klaat is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scotch Tape controlling the position from side mount. Scotch Tape taking a break here but Klaat is having none of it and regains half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Klaat manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Scotch Tape wants to control from the top but Klaat keeps moving. Klaat wants to sweep but no luck. Scotch Tape forces his way into half guard. Scotch Tape controlling the action here. Let's hope that Scotch Tape has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Atlas Klaat dominated that second round. That's time! Klaat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Klaat stuffs the takedown attempt from Scotch Tape. Scotch Tape gets slowly back to his feet. Klaat throws a lazy head kick and Scotch Tape counters with an inside leg kick. Scotch Tape feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Scotch Tape trying to control but Klaat is working from the bottom. Klaat wants to sweep but no luck. Scotch Tape tries to free his leg and advance position but Klaat is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scotch Tape slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rodent Scotch Tape was stalling too much, according to the referee. Klaat looks to land a right hand but Scotch Tape moved out of range. Scotch Tape throws a lazy head kick and Klaat counters with a straight right hand. Atlas Klaat is winning the standup battle so far. Klaat cracks Scotch Tape with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice cross by Klaat. Scotch Tape shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Klaat throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Scotch Tape counters with a nice double leg into guard. Scotch Tape trying to control the position from guard on top but Klaat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scotch Tape is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rodent Scotch Tape has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Scotch Tape stands and throws Klaat's legs to the side, diving into side control. Klaat trying to remain calm as Scotch Tape controls from the top position. Scotch Tape trying to control the action but Klaat is working from the bottom. Scotch Tape content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klaat is trying to get back to half guard. Scotch Tape wants to lay and pray for a moment but Klaat keeps working. Rodent Scotch Tape has got the better of the ground game so far. Scotch Tape controlling from side mount.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rodent Scotch Tape wasn't active enough on the ground. Scotch Tape tried to score with a low kick but Klaat checks it.

Klaat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Atlas Klaat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Scotch Tape shoots and misses and Klaat counters with a head kick. That will keep Scotch Tape thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Klaat swings away with a body shot that misses
and Scotch Tape counters with a good low kick that Klaat was not able to check. Klaat with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Scotch Tape fails with a takedown attempt. Atlas Klaat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodent Scotch Tape. Klaat avoids the body shot from Scotch Tape.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rodent Scotch Tape. I think Klaat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
