Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fire Fly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JC Denton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Denton's choice of entrance music: A bomb!. JC Denton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fire Fly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, JC Denton! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fly fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Denton sprawls well initially but Fly persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fly throwing shots but Denton is blocking nicely. Fly not landing any meaningful shots this time. Denton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Denton trying to control from the bottom.
Fly is working for a submission of some sort.
Fly is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fly stalling away here and it's allowed Denton to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Fly throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fly lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Flyis looking to pass into half guard but Denton pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Denton is in guard. Fly looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Denton puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Fly wants to get back to full guard. Fly tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Denton has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Fly is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Denton trying to control but Fly is having none of it. Fly looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fly breaks Denton's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Denton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fly throws a strike but Denton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Denton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Denton has managed to get both his arms back between Fly's legs - danger averted. Fly looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fly looking for subs off his back but Denton has passed one foot through into half guard.
Fly wants to get back to full guard. Denton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fly gets full guard. Fly is looking to sweep but instead, Denton has passed into half guard.
Fly is trying to get back to full guard. Fly looking for submissions off his back. Fly trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fly is refusing to be controlled, as Denton sits in half guard. Fly trying to control here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Fire Fly will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Denton lands with a nice body punch. Fire Fly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Denton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Denton scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Fire Fly has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Denton scores with a shot to the body.
Fly on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fly takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Denton lands with an overhand left. Denton scores with a shot to the body.
Denton lands with a nice body punch. Fly needs to keep his hands up - Denton had a free shot at his head there. Denton punishes Fly's body with a nice straight punch. Denton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fly doesn't seem bothered though. Denton digs a good hook to Fly's body.

Denton connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Denton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Denton punishes Fly's body with a nice straight punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Denton lands a big right hand that sends Fly crashing to the mat! Denton stays standing though and waves Fly back to his feet!
Fly is rocked! Denton throws a pinpoint strike between Fly's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Fly crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Denton scores a great knockout victory!
