The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Robinson.
Robinson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Silva checks it well.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Robinson shows good takedown defense.
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Robinson. Robinson obviously looking to wear him down.
Robinson throws a leg kick but Silva checks it.
Robinson throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robinson throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Silva shoots in and bounces Robinson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Robinson has wrist control.

Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Robinson dives on top into guard.

Robinson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Robinson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Robinson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Robinson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Robinson uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Robinson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
