PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien Demented (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Rodey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rodey's choice of entrance music: none. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demented swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Demented darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rodey is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Demented seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Rodey's chin but Rodey turns very nicely into Demented's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Rodey.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Damien Demented will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Demented bucks up and tries to throw Rodey off but instead Rodey has got his back!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Rodey's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Demented is trying to get back to his feet but Rodey has full control of the position and if anything, Demented has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Rodey slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sean Rodey just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
