Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison comes to the ring accompanied by Diamonds Aren't Forever. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geoff Morrison! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gary Steel! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morrison pinned against the cage. Morrison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Steel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morrison's guard. Morrison throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Steel drops back looking for a leg! Morrison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morrison manages to kick Steel off! Steel jumps back into Morrison's guard. Steel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morrison is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Steel, into his guard. Morrison makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Steel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morrison defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morrison manages to get himself to full guard.
Steel passes Morrison's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Steel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Morrison sees it coming and defends easily. Morrison works his way to full guard. Good work. Morrison is breathing heavily. Steel looking to pass the guard. Steel passes Morrison's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Morrison is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gary Steel! Gary Steel is the new featherweight champion!
