Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murilo Pele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by Skeamz - Allow me. Pele has chosen Jump by Van Halen as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Murilo Pele! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pele fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pele needs to keep his hands up - Anderson had a free shot at his head there. Excellent takedown into side control there by Anderson. Anderson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Anderson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pele has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Anderson but great work by Pele. Anderson sneaks back into half guard. Anderson is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Pele has advanced to mount. Uh oh. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Pele tries to stand but can't do so whilst Anderson controls his leg. Pele looks gassed! Anderson is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking for a triangle but Pele pushes his legs off easily.
Pele is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pele can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pele gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pele stopping the sweep attempt from Anderson. Anderson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pele! Anderson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pele can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pele tries to hold on but Anderson pushes him away. Anderson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pele has worked his arm free - good work by Pele!

This could be all over! Wait, no, Pele rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Anderson's guard! Nice work there by Pele!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to sweep but instead, Pele has passed into half guard.
Anderson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pele pulls his head out easily. Anderson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Pele jumps into side control! Pele happy to just control the position for now. Anderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Anderson is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Anderson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pele tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Anderson closes the distance and clinches. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Pele is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Anderson is looking to break free of the clinch but Pele has double underhooks. Anderson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pele has him pressed against the cage. Pele misses with an elbow strike.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pele avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Anderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pele is breathing heavily. Oooh a lovely combination from Anderson sends Pele down but not out. Anderson dives into side control looking to finish.
Pele is rocked! Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pele is still in real trouble! Can Anderson finish him? Anderson cracks Pele with a big elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson cracks Pele with a big right hand but Pele just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Pele seems to have recovered his senses. Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Anderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Anderson swings around for an armbar but Pele sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Anderson's guard. Pele trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Pele must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Anderson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Anderson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Anderson throws a right hand that Pele ducks under and follows up with a left that Pele also avoids with ease. A punch combination from Anderson misses. Anderson clinches but Pele breaks the clinch and Pele holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Anderson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pele is fighting off a takedown attempt but Anderson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pele to the mat. Pele regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Anderson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Pele is retaining full guard. Pele working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anderson. Anderson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pele looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pele looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pele! Pele stands up and beckons Anderson to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pele has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Anderson. Anderson tries to clinch up and Pele counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Anderson works his way to full guard. Good work. Anderson wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are battling for position here. Anderson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Anderson has his foot on Pele's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pele works his way back into a safe position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anderson keeping busy on the bottom but Pele has passed one foot through into half guard.

Pele is nestled in close to Anderson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Anderson wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Anderson is looking for a sweep. Pele is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pele wants to stand up but Anderson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Anderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pele changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Anderson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pele's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Anderson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pele stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Anderson to get to his feet. Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Pele counters with a right hand to the body. Pele shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well. Pele circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pele steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Anderson. That one must have hurt. Anderson has a takedown stuffed. Anderson misses with the combination.
Anderson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pele counters with a one-two to the body. Pele clinches but Anderson breaks the clinch and Anderson counters with a left and a right that stings Pele. Anderson moves into the clinch successfully.

Luke Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pele is trying to escape the mount.
Anderson avoids the attempt from Pele to control. Anderson moves to back control. Anderson misses with punches from the back. Anderson looking to break Pele's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pele remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Anderson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Anderson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pele is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Pele defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Anderson is looking for a triangle but Pele pushes his legs off easily.
Anderson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pele stacks Anderson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pele! Anderson looking for a sweep but Pele has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pele manages to capitalize on a mistake by Anderson to take his back! Anderson turns into Pele and is now in his guard.
Anderson throwing strikes but missing. Anderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pele is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pele has escaped and now he's on top! Anderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Anderson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Anderson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
