Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kieran Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Dawson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Marks! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marks shoots in but no luck this time. Marks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dawson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Marks was covering up waiting for the punch and Dawson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Marks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dawson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Marks trying to control the position.
Dawson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marks is keeping the position for now. Marks wants to sweep but no luck. Marks thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marks looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dawson stops Marks from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Marks is trying to control the position but Dawson postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dawson misses with the combination.
Marks with a poor takedown so Dawson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dawson is breathing heavily. Marks keeping moving, preventing Dawson from controlling successfully. Dawson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marks is keeping the position for now. Marks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dawson defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dawson won't allow Marks to sweep him here. Marks striking off his back but it's not causing Dawson any problems. Dawson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Marks controls Dawson momentarily but Dawson frees himself. Dawson wants to control from the top but Marks keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dawson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dawson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marks wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dawson!
Marks takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dawson shoots in looking for a takedown. Marks tries to sprawl out of it but Dawson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dawson. Marks tries for a takedown but Dawson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kieran Dawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Marks. Marks tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dawson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dawson. Dawson lands a nice knee to the body. Marks tries to pull guard but Dawson holds him up against the cage and eventually Marks drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Marks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Marks trying to control but Dawson is working from the bottom. Marks is pushing down on Dawson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dawson is fighting to maintain full guard but Marks has managed to sneak the leg through. Dawson is looking to improve his position.
Dawson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Marks seems to be looking for submissions.
Marks is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marks scores a takedown into full mount! Marks avoids the attempt from Dawson to control. Dawson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Marks fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Marks looking to control but Dawson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dawson is in a horrible position here. Marks smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Marks is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dawson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Dawson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Marks controlling his opponent. Marks lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dawson is looking to get to half guard. Dawson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Marks postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dawson looks a forlorn figure.
Marks wants to control the pace but Dawson is squirming around nicely. Dawson tries to hold on but Marks postures up. Marks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dawson is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Marks landing shots from mount. Dawson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Marks controlling the pace for now. Marks tries to control but Dawson wriggling away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dawson tries to reverse the position but Marks maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Marks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Marks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dawson did well to prevent Marks getting side control. Cody Marks has got the better of the ground game so far. Marks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Marks landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Marks is looking to advance position but Dawson won't allow it. Marks is thwarting Dawson's attempts to control the position. Marks trying to control from half guard but Dawson is working away. Dawson gets back to full guard.

Marks closes the distance but Dawson moves to the side and Dawson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marks's guard. Marks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dawson manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dawson has his foot on Marks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marks works his way back into a safe position though. Marks trying to control but Dawson is working from the bottom. Marks scoring with some ground and pound. Dawson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Marks doesn't defend quickly enough and Dawson has managed to lock this one up! Can Marks escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dawson on a fantastic submission victory.
