Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gao Silva!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Jackson cracks Silva with an open hand slap.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jackson to score with a decent uppercut.
Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Silva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jackson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Jackson is not content to let Silva control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson is trying to buck Silva off.
Silva tries to advance to mount but can't.

Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jackson lands with an uppercut that bounces Silva off the cage and back into rage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shane Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gao Silva.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson lands a head shot.
Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Jackson cracks Silva with a nice body shot.
Silva tries to break free but Jackson pushes him back against the cage.
Jackson scores with a nice hook to the head.
Jackson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Silva is rocked!
Jackson lands a nice shot to the body.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?
Silva looks gassed!
Jackson just leaning against Silva, taking a breather.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson lands a left hand.
Jackson lands with a left to the head.
Jackson lands a big right hand that drops Silva! The killer instinct kicks in and Jackson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Jackson!
