Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calico Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack's entrance music is Me Favourite Grog. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alvaro Perez!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Alvaro Perez has been cut.
Perez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Perez ducks right into an uppercut from Jack.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jack throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Perez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jack avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Alvaro Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez throws a leg kick but Jack sees it coming and moves out of range.
Perez slips a jab and a cross from Jack.
Perez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jack.
Jack cracks Perez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That has opened up Alvaro Perez's cut even more.
A bone on bone clash there as Jack blocks the leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Perez. That snapped Jack's head back.
Jack misses the shot to the body.
Perez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Perez throws a sloppy body shot
and Jack counters with a right hand to the body.
Perez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jack.
Jack scores with a one two! Perez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Perez looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Perez throws a combination that misses
and Jack counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The cut above Alvaro Perez's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Perez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jack counters with a nice uppercut.
Perez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Alvaro Perez's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jack lands a big right hand that sends Perez crashing to the mat! Jack stays standing though and waves Perez back to his feet!
Perez is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alvaro Perez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Calico Jack!
Calico Jack retains his light heavyweight title!
