Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nai Kanomtom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy has chosen Papa Roach - Last Resort as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. James Hardy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kanomtom to the mat! Kanomtom manages to get full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hardy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hardy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hardy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hardy tries to free his leg and advance position but Kanomtom is retaining full guard.
Kanomtom can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hardy controls the pace.
Hardy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hardy throws a strike but Kanomtom rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hardy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kanomtom wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.

Kanomtom avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kanomtom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hardy on the ground.
Kanomtom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hardy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kanomtom has managed to get both his arms back between Hardy's legs - danger averted.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kanomtom throws a sloppy head kick and Hardy moves out of range easily.
Kanomtom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hardy pinned against the cage. Hardy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kanomtom, right into the meat.
Kanomtom throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Hardy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

so Hardy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hardy wants to pass the guard but Kanomtom is keeping the position.
Hardy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hardy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kanomtom keeping moving, preventing Hardy from controlling successfully.
Hardy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kanomtom swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kanomtom controls Hardy momentarily but Hardy frees himself.
Hardy drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hardy seems to have locked his on tight now - Kanomtom screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hardy, as he picks up the win!
