Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Dunham! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davidson wants to clinch. A combination from Dunham does no damage. Dunham gets in close and instigates a clinch. Dunham prevents the takedown attempt.
Dunham wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davidson has him pressed against the cage. Dunham will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Davidson up against the cage. Dunham lands with a right to the head. Dunham lands a left hand.

Davidson tries to score a body lock takedown but Dunham shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Davidson tries to pull guard but Dunham won't allow it.

Davidson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dunham dives on top into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davidson wants to get back to his feet but Dunham passes into half guard.

Davidson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davidson is defended easily by Dunham. Davidson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dunham sprawls well. Dunham wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davidson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Davidson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dunham, pushing him back against the cage. Dunham wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Davidson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dunham was covering up waiting for the punch and Davidson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Davidson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Davidson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dunham is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson wants to control from the top but Dunham keeps moving. Dunham working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Davidson. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davidson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Davidson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Davidson wants to pass the guard but Dunham is keeping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dunham gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Davidson goes for a takedown attempt but Dunham pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Peter Davidson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davidson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Davidson throws a hook but Dunham blocks it. Dunham is looking to clinch but Davidson is avoiding it.

Dunham manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Dunham is trying to force a seperation but Davidson has the dominant position. Dunham wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Davidson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dunham works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Davidson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davidson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dunham can do anything to dispel that myth. Davidson lands with a kick to the temple. Dunham shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Davidson swats away the attempt to clinch by Dunham. Davidson has managed to clinch.

Peter Davidson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pete Dunham is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pete Dunham is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Davidson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dunham is fending him off so far but Davidson persists. Nope, Dunham circles away and we're back to standing.
