Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spensor Judge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spensor Judge! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Judge feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Judge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Judge is aware though and is defending well. Judge looking to pass the guard. Johnson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Johnson is really struggling to control Judge but he's trying to hold on to the position. Judge tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Judge from controlling successfully. Judge cracks Johnson with a solid left hand. Judge trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Judge must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Judge has managed to clinch.
Judge ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Judge no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Judge is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Judge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Judge keeps working. Johnson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Johnson is breathing heavily. Judge is looking for a sweep. Johnson wants to control but Judge is keeping him busy. Judge tries to improve position but can't. Johnson taking a breather here. Judge is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Judge gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson wants to clinch and Judge counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Johnson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Johnson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Judge is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Judge wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Johnson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Spensor Judge dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Judge clinches. Johnson fails to pull guard.

Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Judge walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Judge shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Judge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Judge shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily. Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Judge on that attempt. Johnson with a lazy takedown attempt and Judge decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard. Judge wants to stand but Johnson is controlling his posture from full guard. Judge is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Judge wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Judge showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Johnson is looking for a triangle but Judge pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Judge passes into half guard. Judge wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson tries to roll over but Judge keeps him under control. Johnson landing rabbit punches to the side of Judge's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Judge wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson punching from the bottom.
Johnson is controlling Judge's position as best he can from this difficult position. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
