Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is J Cole - I'm on It. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Wilkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter Rose!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rose.
Jay Wilkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wilkins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rose was covering up waiting for the punch and Wilkins finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Wilkins has gone for a leg lock! Rose slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wilkins's guard.

Wilkins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wilkins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wilkins is looking for a triangle but Rose pushes his legs off easily.
Wilkins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rose controls the pace.
Wilkins looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rose puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilkins is looking to control Rose's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilkins avoid being mounted?

Wilkins looking for submissions off his back.
Wilkins trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Rose content just to control the position here.
Rose trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Wilkins tries to lock up and control but Rose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rose looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wilkins is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rose trying to control but Wilkins is having none of it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wilkins is trying desperately to improve position.
Rose tries to control but Wilkins wriggling away.
Wilkins can't escape the position.
Rose controlling from the full mount.
Wilkins tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rose wants to control the pace but Wilkins is squirming around nicely.
Rose avoids the attempt from Wilkins to control.
Wilkins manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Well, if Rose is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Hunter Rose has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rose dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wilkins. That did some damage!
Rose uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A jab from Rose does it's job there.
Rose darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rose scores with a hook.

Wilkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wilkins is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rose is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rose has escaped and now he's on top!

Wilkins looking for a guillotine here but Rose defends easily.
Rose is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wilkins wants to sweep here but Rose controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hunter Rose dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wilkins with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rose counters with a low kick, right behind Wilkins 's knee.
Wilkins walks into a stiff left hand from Rose.
Jab from Rose.
Rose slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Jay Wilkins has been cut.
Nice shot lands for Rose.
Rose ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wilkins shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rose counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


Wilkins is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wilkins gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Rose points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Wilkins wakes up just in time to hear Rose thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hunter Rose!
