Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Shankar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhaegar Targaryen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shankar comes to the cage accompanied by "Them Belly Full" by Bob Marley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shankar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Targaryen's waist but Targaryen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shankar off to one side.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Shankar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shankar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shankar won't allow Targaryen to sweep him here.
Shankar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Targaryen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shankar manages to get himself to full guard.
Shankar has a closed guard, preventing Targaryen from standing up.
Shankar pushes Targaryen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Shankar closes the distance and clinches up with Targaryen, looking for a takedown. Shankar pushes Targaryen against the cage but Targaryen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shankar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Targaryen sprawls well. Targaryen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shankar gets slowly back to his feet.
