The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morozov lands a head kick. POPO smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Morozov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in POPO's guard.
POPO has Morozov pulled in close to control his posture.

Morozov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morozov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with POPO, pushing him back against the cage.

Morozov has POPO pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Morozov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending POPO tumbling to the mat - Morozov dives into POPO's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Morozov holds on and takes a little breather.
Morozov wants to stand and escape but POPO is having none of it.

Morozov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. POPO defends it easily.
POPO drops back looking for a leg! Morozov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morozov manages to kick POPO off! POPO jumps back into Morozov's guard.
Morozov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. POPO manages to get himself to full guard.

Acelino POPO showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Morozov lands with a kick to the temple. POPO shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
POPO takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Horrible takedown by Morozov or perhaps it was just good defense by POPO which made him look bad.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

POPO stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morozov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Morozov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes POPO off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
