Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeca Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zeca Diaz looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida thumps Diaz with a low kick.
Almeida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Almeida somewhat.
Almeida misses with a takedown attempt - Diaz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Almeida fails with an attempt to clinch.
Almeida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Zeca Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Almeida.

Almeida gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Diaz wants to pass the guard but Almeida is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Almeida is on top in guard.
Diaz wants to sweep here but Almeida controlling him for the moment.

Almeida wants to stand but Diaz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Diaz pushes Almeida off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Almeida tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diaz paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Diaz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Almeida tries to hold on but Diaz postures up.
Almeida tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control.

Almeida gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Almeida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Almeida is looking to sinch up a triangle. Diaz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Almeida's body to avoid the submission. Almeida has instead reached around Diaz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Almeida arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
