Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Yam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Lumsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donnie Yam is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donnie Yam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, AJ Lumsden!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yam's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Yam duly obliges.
A telegraphed right hand from Lumsden misses the target.
Yam scores with a three punch combo!
Lumsden gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Yam.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lumsden takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lumsden misses with a takedown attempt - Yam sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lumsden scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Lumsden in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Yam prevents Lumsden from moving into mount.

Lumsden is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yam has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lumsden prevents Yam from escaping the position.
Lumsden misses with the ground and pound.
Yam wants to get back to his feet.
The referee asks Lumsden politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lumsden prefers to stall for the moment though.
Yam defending against the ground and pound.
Lumsden is looking to take a break and control but Yam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lumsden tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Lumsden working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lumsden looks gassed!
Lumsden trying to control the action but Yam is working from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

I looks like Lumsden might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lumsden wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yam keeps working.
Lumsden controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by AJ Lumsden.
Yam changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Lumsden scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lumsden with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Lumsden wants to control but Yam is keeping him busy.
Lumsden thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yam's head.
Yam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lumsden on the ground.
Well, if Lumsden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lumsden moves nicely into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donnie Yam dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Lumsden darts in and clinches Yam up against the cage.

Lumsden pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Yam fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Lumsden scores with a takedown into Yam's guard.
Lumsden with a nice head shot there.
Lumsden is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lumsden is working Yam over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Lumsden trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Yam can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lumsden controls the pace.

Lumsden decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Yam, up you get!

Lumsden closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Yam is in trouble now - Lumsden has advanced to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lumsden controlling the position easily from mount.
Let's hope that Lumsden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lumsden controlling from mount.
BOOM! Lumsden connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lumsden sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yam is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lumsden with a couple of short strikes.
Lumsden controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

AJ Lumsden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Lumsden tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
A nice elbow there by Lumsden.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

AJ Lumsden has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lumsden is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lumsden sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
AJ Lumsden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lumsden has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
