Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McEvoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan McEvoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cory Jones! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by McEvoy. Jones has McEvoy up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones tries to circle away but McEvoy has him pinned against the cage. Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed McEvoy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jones throwing wild punches that miss their target. Jones trying to control momentarily.
Jones missing with strikes from the back. Jones trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Jones looking for the RNC. Jones landing with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. McEvoy knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften McEvoy for a finish. Jones throwing wild punches that miss their target. McEvoy covering up well under a series of strikes from Jones. Jones lands shots from the back. Jones looking for the choke from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones has got his arm under McEvoy's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! McEvoy has spun round into Jones's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McEvoy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. McEvoy wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McEvoy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard. Jones controls McEvoy momentarily but McEvoy frees himself. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McEvoy manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McEvoy's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McEvoy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jones has gone for a leg lock! McEvoy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard. Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet. Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McEvoy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McEvoy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jones throwing strikes from guard but McEvoy blocks nicely. Jones postures up in McEvoy's guard and throws a big left but McEvoy blocks it. Jones looking to pass the guard. Jones throwing strikes from guard but McEvoy blocks nicely. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but McEvoy is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. McEvoy keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. McEvoy being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Cory Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. McEvoy clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones counters with a series of strikes. McEvoy will be more careful next time no doubt. Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. McEvoy clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to pull guard but McEvoy holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
Jones is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Jones tries for a takedown but McEvoy manages to get underhooks.

Ryan McEvoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cory Jones. McEvoy trying to stall but Jones improves his position.

McEvoy is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McEvoy walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but McEvoy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat. McEvoy closes the distance looking to clinch and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking for a kimura here.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but McEvoy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McEvoy trying to control here.
Jones throwing shots but McEvoy is blocking nicely. Jones is trying to control. McEvoy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Cory Jones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. McEvoy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ryan McEvoy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McEvoy tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Jones tries to pull guard but McEvoy holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
Jones decides to pull guard. McEvoy stands up from Jones's guard - McEvoy perhaps looking for a knockout. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McEvoy to the mat! McEvoy manages to get full guard. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but McEvoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cory Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
McEvoy tries to clinch and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. McEvoy fights it but they end up in guard. McEvoy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ground and pound from Jones seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. McEvoy taking a bit of punishment here - Jones scoring with strikes. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones lands an elbow. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones landing strikes. Jones remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jones working the head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Jones crashes against the mat.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but McEvoy keeps working. Jones is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. McEvoy is trying to escape and Jones transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and McEvoy is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jones! Very nice indeed!
