Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns's entrance music is Barren Earth - Deserted Morrows. A fine choice. Svensson has chosen Fuck the world as his entrance music. Josh Burns has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Karl Svensson! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burns is defended easily by Svensson. Burns closes the distance and clinches up with Svensson, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes Svensson against the cage but Svensson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Burns gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Svensson misses with a series of wild punches.
Svensson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Burns avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Svensson. Svensson thows a huge punch but Burns dodges it nicely.
Svensson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Svensson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Burns regains full guard. Nicely done. Burns is pulling down on Svensson's head to control his posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svensson with a flurry of punches that miss. Svensson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Svensson with a flurry of punches that miss. Svensson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Burns works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Burns is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Svensson defends well. Svensson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Burns tries to land a sweep but no joy. Svensson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burns's head. Svensson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Burns works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Svensson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Burns controlling Svensson's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Svensson throws and elbow that misses. Burns uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Svensson's guard. Nice move by Burns!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Svensson looking to control.
Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Svensson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Burns content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Svensson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Svensson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burns defends well. Burns wants to control from the top but Svensson keeps moving. Burns gets to his feet. Svensson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Svensson gets caught flat footed, as Burns shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Burns chips away with some ground and pound. Svensson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Svensson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burns stands up from Svensson's guard - Burns perhaps looking for a knockout. Burns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Burns working the ground and pound effectively.
A nice elbow there by Burns. Burns will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Burns working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Svensson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Burns! Submission of the night perhaps?
