Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between MATT SERRA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhodri Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, MATT SERRA! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rhodri Williams! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams tries to clinch there but SERRA circles away.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as SERRA sprawls well. SERRA wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet. SERRA darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Williams is trying to get back to full guard. SERRA is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Williams lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. SERRA is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. SERRA not doing much here.
SERRA stalling away here and it's allowed Williams to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. SERRA trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. SERRA trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. SERRA wants to stand but Williams has a closed guard, so he can't escape. SERRA preventing the sweep. Williams is trying to keep SERRA in close.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. SERRA shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but SERRA finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. SERRA is breathing heavily. SERRA is controlling the pace.
Williams is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of SERRA's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take SERRA's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at SERRA. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. SERRA might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. I would not like to be SERRA right now.
Williams is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged SERRA with him. SERRA is trying to defend but Williams has an arm under the chin now! SERRA grimaces and is forced to tap out!
