Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Potemkin Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes into the arena with John Denver's Thank God I'm a Country Boy blaring out of the sound system. Potemkin Buster has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Williams! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Potemkin Buster! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Williams. No joy for Buster on that attempt. Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Williams waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Buster. Buster uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Williams misses with a straight right. Williams misses the jab. Buster shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Williams is looking to improve his position but Buster isn't that keen on the idea. Buster looking for a guillotine from mount but Williams is having none of it. Buster looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Williams is trying desperately to improve position. Williams sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buster is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Buster is looking to stall here but Williams recovers full guard. Buster thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Buster wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buster is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Buster wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position. Buster trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Buster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Buster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Buster, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams throws a big right hand that misses. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Williams throws a strike but Buster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Buster trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Buster drops back looking for a leg! Williams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Williams manages to kick Buster off! Buster jumps back into Williams's guard. Buster is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buster wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position. Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Williams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Williams is trying to control. Buster wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Williams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Williams stalling. Buster keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Potemkin Buster will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Buster shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Buster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Williams lands a two punch combo.
Buster shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Williams as he jumps to the side. Williams misses with a body shot.
Buster defending well as Williams loads up on a big left hand. Williams misses with an uppercut. Williams takes a swing at Buster's ribcage but misses. Buster closes this distance looking for a takedown but Williams circles away. Tommy Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Potemkin Buster. Williams missing with a left hand there. Buster was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A punch combination from Williams misses. Williams displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Williams punishes Buster's body with a nice straight punch. Williams loads up on a big right hand but Buster slips the punch.

Tommy Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from Buster. Buster gets slowly back to his feet. Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing. Williams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Buster takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Buster fails with the takedown. Buster ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away. A big left from Williams misses. Buster fails with a takedown attempt. Williams misses with a looping right. No luck for Buster with that takedown attempt. Buster showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Williams. Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Williams misses with a straight left. Williams misses the jab. Williams looks to land a combination. Buster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Williams swings and misses with a shot to the body and Buster counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Williams! Williams tries to hold on but Buster postures up. Williams is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Williams is wriggling around trying to escape.
Buster is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Williams has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Buster has hold of Williams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Williams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buster goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Williams turns into him and now he's in Buster's guard.
Williams connects with a couple of short punches. Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Buster gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Buster wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position. Buster trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Buster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams working for a triangle but Buster defends it easily.
Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Buster is aware though and is defending well. Buster drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Williams manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Buster has Williams in his guard. Buster preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Buster preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Buster tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams throwing strikes but missing.
