The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch lands a jab to the head.
Lynch stalks Gonzalez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gonzalez's face. Gonzalez staggers backwards, shaken.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gonzalez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lynch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzalez tries to avoid it but Lynch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzalez to the ground. Gonzalez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lynch paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lynch is working the combinations to good effect here.
A clash of legs there as Gonzalez blocks the low kick.
Gonzalez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lynch finds it's way round the side to connect with Gonzalez's head.

Lynch lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gonzalez.

Gonzalez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lynch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lynch's back!

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Gonzalez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Gonzalez apologises and we restart here on the feet.
