Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between matt ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocko Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocko Bongo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ferguson dives in and grabs Bongo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bongo pushes down on ferguson's head and hops out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from ferguson.

Bongo pushes ferguson up against the cage in a clinch.

Bongo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. ferguson can't fight it off and eventually Bongo manages to take the fight to the floor. ferguson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bongo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bongo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bongo stands up from ferguson's guard - Bongo perhaps looking for a knockout.

ferguson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

ferguson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bongo is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ferguson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bongo is one step ahead there.
Bongo tries to free his leg and advance position but ferguson is retaining full guard.

ferguson is looking for a triangle here but Bongo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

ferguson is looking to regain half guard here but Bongo keeps moving and retains side control.
Bongo slows the pace down.

Bongo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by ferguson, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bongo looks gassed!
You can see the frustration on ferguson's face as Bongo controls the position.

Bongo lands a decent elbow from side control.

Bongo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but ferguson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
ferguson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Bongo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, ferguson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bongo's guard! Nice work there by ferguson!
Bongo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

ferguson tries to get to full guard but Bongo has control of the leg.
ferguson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
ferguson tries to roll over but Bongo keeps him under control.
ferguson gets back to full guard.
ferguson striking off his back but it's not causing Bongo any problems.

That's time! ferguson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Bongo counters with a takedown into side control.
ferguson is trying to control Bongo's posture but Bongo avoids it.
Bongo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bongo working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. ferguson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Bongo! Submission of the night perhaps?
