Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brock Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hugo Tank!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tank shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tank showed some decent athleticism there.

Lesnar actively working from the bottom here.

Tank is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lesnar defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar gets back to full guard.
Lesnar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lesnar tries to strike from the bottom.
Tank wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving.

Lesnar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesnar, not yet.
Tank must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lesnar will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lesnar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Tank shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tank was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lesnar can't escape the position.
The referee warns Lesnar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tank can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lesnar is looking to escape.
Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Tank trying to control but Lesnar is having none of it.
Tank with the ground and pound from mount.
Lesnar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Tank is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Lesnar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Tank is looking to improve his position.
Tank is trying to maintain the position but Lesnar is very close to passing his half guard.

It looks like Lesnar is going to stand back up.
Tank is refusing to be controlled, as Lesnar sits in half guard.
Tank wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like Lesnar is going to stand back up.

Tank really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lesnar is working for a submission of some sort.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Tank shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lesnar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Tank trying to control but Lesnar is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugo Tank dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tank throws a head kick but Lesnar moves out of range.
Tank tests Lesnar's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tank doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lesnar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lesnar pushing down on Tank's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tank is staying active underneath Lesnar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lesnar lands a nice short elbow.
Tank is trying to stand back up but Lesnar is controlling him
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tank is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesnar pulls his head out easily.
Tank has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lesnar is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Lesnar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tank can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tank can't keep his opponent in guard - Lesnar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Lesnar keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Lesnar is looking to take a break and control but Tank is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lesnar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tank defending well though.
Lesnar is trying to control. Tank wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Tank is trying to get back to full guard.
Tank has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lesnar is working away from the top position though.

Tank wants to control but Lesnar is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lesnar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tank throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Tank misses with a leg kick

and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lesnar won't allow Tank to sweep him here.
Lesnar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Tank not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tank looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lesnar is one step ahead there.

Lesnar stops Tank from standing up.
Lesnar sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tank working a defensive guard here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tank tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lesnar dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


A combination from Tank does no damage.
Tank shoots in and drives through. Lesnar sprawls well.
Tank is looking to clinch but Lesnar is avoiding it.
Lesnar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Tank counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lesnar!

Lesnar is staying active underneath Tank, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lesnar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tank's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tank's back!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lesnar lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Tank.
Tank is trying to break free.
Tank trying to control the hands but Lesnar breaks the grip.
Lesnar keeps control of the position easily here as Tank tries to buck him off.
Tank is covering up but some of the strikes from Lesnar are getting through and doing damage.

Lesnar looking to break Tank's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Tank remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lesnar will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Lesnar has the hooks in. Tank is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Lesnar connects with a big shot to the side of Tank's head.
Tank looking very determined here, making life difficult for Lesnar.

Tank rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Tank is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lesnar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lesnar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tank's head.
Lesnar stops Tank from getting back to his feet.

Tank looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Lesnar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brock Lesnar.
I think Lesnar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
