Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between dad maire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vick has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vick dives in and grabs maire's left leg, looking for a takedown. maire pushes down on Vick's head and hops out.
Vick throws a sloppy head kick and maire moves out of range easily.
maire tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vick swivels and escapes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

maire is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vick defends it well.

maire stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Vick to get to his feet.
maire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vick pinned against the cage. Vick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and maire counters by moving into the clinch.

maire feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
