Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jager Bomb! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Dias! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dias throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Dias on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Bomb misses the shot to the body. Dias takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dias throws a nice looking combination but Bomb bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bomb scores with a hook to the body. Dias takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Bomb connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bomb throws a right and a left that both miss. Bomb throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bomb takes a swing at Dias's ribcage but misses. A momentary lapse in concentration from Dias enables Bomb to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bomb is keen to just control but Dias is a slippery customer. Bomb tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dias knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dias regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bomb. Bomb pushing down on Dias's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Bomb not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bomb wants to take a breather but Dias is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias is in trouble now - Bomb has advanced to mount! Dias really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bomb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bomb punching from mount but Dias doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dias taking shots to the head. Bomb looking to ground and pound but Dias is blocking nicely. Dias in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Dias is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Bomb is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dias to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dias shrugs it off. Bomb putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Bomb is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dias has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bomb pushes down on Dias's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bomb moves nicely into side control. Dias parries the strikes from Bomb easily there. Bomb is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dias to escape.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dias takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Bomb lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Bomb cracks Dias with a hook to the jaw. Dias gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bomb misses with a head shot. Dias is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

and Dias counters with a stiff right hand. A jab from Bomb finds it's way through Dias's defenses. Dias has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Bomb wants to clinch. Bomb looks to score with a jab to the body but Dias is just out of range. Dave Dias has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bomb misses the jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Jager Bomb showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bomb has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
