Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Oreily (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Gaudi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Oreily has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Oreily!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Antoni Gaudi!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaudi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Oreily takes a swing at Gaudi's ribcage but misses.

Gaudi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Oreily moves into full guard.
Gaudi postures up.
Gaudi wants to control from the top but Oreily keeps moving.
Gaudi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gaudi tries to free his leg and advance position but Oreily is retaining full guard.
Oreily is trying to control the position but Gaudi postures up.
Oreily will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gaudi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gaudi wants to pass the guard but Oreily is keeping the position.

Oreily has his foot on Gaudi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gaudi works his way back into a safe position though.

Oreily had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gaudi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Oreily Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gaudi's back instead.
Oreily has the hooks in. Gaudi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Oreily tries to keep control of the position but Gaudi is staying busy.
Gaudi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oreily. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gaudi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Oreily's guard. Nice work there by Gaudi.

Oreily has momentary wrist control but Gaudi slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gaudi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oreily keeps working.
Oreily is looking to control Gaudi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Oreily avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

so Gaudi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Oreily is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gaudi stands up over Oreily, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Oreily lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gaudi!

Oreily is working for a guillotine from mount but Gaudi frees his head quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Oreily has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gaudi's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gaudi works over Oreily with some ground and pound from guard.

Gaudi is sitting in close to Oreily's body. Oreily has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gaudi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gaudi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Oreily.
