Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raymond Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ackman Ra! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels moves out of range as Ra throws a body kick.
Daniels steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ra. Daniels ducks right into an uppercut from Ra. Ra throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Daniels shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ra but Ra pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ra misses with a two punch combination.
Daniels really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Daniels shoots for a double leg takedown but Ra sprawls well. He's pushed Daniels's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ra lands with a right hand. Daniels shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymond Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ra fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Daniels on the side of the head. Jab from Ra. Daniels uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ra. Ra throws a big shot that misses. Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ra swivels and escapes. Ra throws a hook to the side of Daniels's head but Daniels sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ra scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Decent striking displayed by Ra there. Ra keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ackman Ra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ra listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. No joy there for Ra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ra misses with a two punch combination.
Donk. Ra catches Daniels right on the button with a cross. Ra misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ra swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ra throws a jab when Daniels was well out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Daniels. Ra tries a low kick but Daniels avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Ra misses. Daniels moves away from the strike by Ra. Daniels has a takedown stuffed. Ra connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Ra cracks Daniels with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Ra misses with a double jab.
Ra throws a right and a left that both miss. Ackman Ra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ra will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Daniels misses with a takedown attempt - Ra sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Daniels slips under a jab from Ra.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels dodges the punch combination from Ra.
Ra misses with a looping right. Ra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Daniels. Daniels slips a jab from Ra. Ra shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Ra throws a half hearted mid kick. Ra lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ra is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Daniels had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Daniels is breathing heavily. Daniels slips under a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Daniels moves out of range of the strikes. Daniels takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ra jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Daniels. Ra throws a right and a left that both miss. Daniels takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Daniels takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ra looks to throw the jab but Daniels is out of range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ra misses with a kick to the body.
Ra throws an overhand right that lands on Daniels's shoulder, as Daniels tries to avoid the shot. Ra lands a jab. Ra throws a body punch but Daniels moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ackman Ra dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Daniels tries for a takedown but Ra sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ra misses with a wild combination.
Daniels closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ra looks to score with a jab to the body but Daniels is just out of range. Ra throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Daniels closes the distance and pushes Ra back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ra working aggressively here.
Daniels fails to pull guard.
Ra can't break the clinch.
Ra is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Ra is breathing heavily. Daniels jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ra wants to stand but Daniels has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ra wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Daniels's closed guard. He's half up but Daniels has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Daniels pivots and extends the arm, Ra falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Daniels! Well done that man!
