Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Mclevain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mclevain moves into the clinch. Mclevain blocks a body shot from Guy. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Guy just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mclevain's brow. Mclevain is trying to trip Guy. He has hold of a leg but Guy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mclevain persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Mclevain content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Mclevain is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Guy wants to stand up but Mclevain is controlling him. Mclevain controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mclevain lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mclevain sitting in guard here, content to control. Mclevain chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy wants to stand up but Mclevain is controlling him. Mclevain is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mclevain seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Guy for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Mclevain. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mclevain.
Guy clinches but Mclevain breaks the clinch and Mclevain counters with a shoot takedown. Guy fights it but they end up in guard. Guy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mclevain is controlling him.

Guy looks gassed! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mclevain in particular looking to stall. Mclevain is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Mclevain trying to control the pace. Mclevain working Guy over with strikes. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mclevain landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mclevain stalling. Mclevain working the head and body with strikes. Mclevain is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mclevain's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mclevain has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mclevain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mclevain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mclevain not doing much here.

Guy pushes Mclevain off looking to stand but Mclevain dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mclevain pushes Guy up against the cage in a clinch. Mclevain avoiding damage as Guy throws knees to the body.
Guy misses with a punch to the body.
Mclevain wants the takedown. Guy is fighting it off but Mclevain persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Guy's guard against the cage. Mclevain is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Guy wants to get back to his feet but Mclevain is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mclevain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mclevain prevents Guy from getting back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mclevain jabs at Guy's body. Mclevain shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mclevain showed some decent athleticism there. Guy tries to kick Mclevain off but Mclevain keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Mclevain uses his free foot to push down on Guy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guy. Mclevain tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Mclevain sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Guy is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Mclevain controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Mclevain dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Mclevain shoots in and bounces Guy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mclevain's corner is telling him to maintain position. Guy wants to get back to his feet but Mclevain is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mclevain controls from within his opponent's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Guy darts in trying to clinch and Mclevain decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Guy's guard. Guy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mclevain is controlling him. Mclevain is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mclevain postures up and lands a big shot to Guy's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mclevain is in close to Guy's body, working some short punches and elbows. Mclevain prevents Guy from getting back to his feet. Mclevain's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mclevain won't allow Guy to get back to his feet. Mclevain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guy can do to turn this around? Mclevain is stalling in the full guard. Mark Guy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! David Mclevain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Guy is looking to stand up but Mclevain isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mclevain seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mclevain passes into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! David Mclevain showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mclevain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
