Silvestry comes to the cage accompanied by Street Fighter. Brandon Silvestry could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jacob McGill's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvestry blocks a low kick nicely.
McGill throws a low kick but it's checked well by Silvestry.
McGill keeps the fight on the outside.
Silvestry misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Silvestry shoots in and bounces McGill off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Silvestry pushes down on McGill's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Silvestry is looking to stall here but McGill recovers full guard.
McGill controls Silvestry momentarily but Silvestry frees himself.
McGill has a closed guard, preventing Silvestry from standing up.

McGill has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silvestry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McGill is on top in guard.
Silvestry wants to stand and escape but McGill is having none of it.
McGill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGill tries to free his leg and advance position but Silvestry is retaining full guard.
Silvestry is trying to keep McGill in close.
McGill wants to pass the guard but Silvestry is keeping the position.

Silvestry is really struggling to control McGill but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Brandon Silvestry has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Silvestry dives in and grabs McGill's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGill pushes down on Silvestry's head and hops out.
McGill stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McGill throws a nice inside leg kick.
McGill throws a leg kick which misses Silvestry's front leg but catches the back leg as Silvestry tries to avoid it.
A left lands for McGill.
Silvestry tries to close the distance and clinch but McGill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silvestry on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McGill. McGill obviously looking to wear him down.
McGill throws an overhand right that lands on Silvestry's shoulder, as Silvestry tries to avoid the shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for McGill.
McGill with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Silvestry is breathing heavily.
Silvestry wants to clinch up but McGill keeps it at a distance.

McGill darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGill trying to control from half guard but Silvestry is working away.

McGill is taking a breather. Silvestry says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McGill has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McGill landing punches.

McGill jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Silvestry manages to avoid the submission attempt.
McGill cracks Silvestry with a big elbow.
McGill advances nicely into full mount.

McGill lands a nice shot to the head.
McGill lands a big shot there that rocks Silvestry but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
