Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Mammoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes shoots in for a takedown but Mammoth shows good takedown defense.
Mammoth misses with a kick to the body.
Barnes misses with a two punch combination.
Mammoth throws the kick towards the body but Barnes avoids it.
Mammoth cracks the inside of Barnes's front leg.
Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Barnes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

The fighters circle momentarily. Mammoth darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Barnes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mammoth sprawls well. Mammoth wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barnes gets slowly back to his feet.
Mammoth cracks Barnes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Barnes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That was a close round but I would say that Andre Barnes will probably get the nod.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mammoth.
Mammoth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnes pinned against the cage. Barnes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mammoth thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Barnes if he has to take too many more of those.

Mammoth's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Mammoth is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mammoth's face.
