Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Sigmarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castillo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is No Suprise . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Castillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Sigmarsson! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castillo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sigmarsson as he jumps to the side. Castillo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Castillo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sigmarsson tries to lock up and control but Castillo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sigmarsson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sigmarsson is squirming around, avoiding Castillo's attempts to control the action. Castillo controlling from mount. Castillo looking to control but Sigmarsson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Castillo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sigmarsson on the ground. Castillo punching from mount but Sigmarsson doing a good job of avoiding damage. Castillo content just to control the position here. Castillo lands a nice shot to the head.
Sigmarsson is rocked! Castillo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sigmarsson is still in real trouble! Can Castillo finish him? Sigmarsson tries to lock up and control but Castillo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sigmarsson seems to have recovered his senses.

Castillo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sigmarsson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sigmarsson and Castillo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
A control attempt from Sigmarsson but he's now mounted! Sigmarsson is looking to improve his position but Castillo isn't that keen on the idea. Sigmarsson tries to improve his position but instead Castillo has taken his back! Sigmarsson wants to get back to his feet. Castillo lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Sigmarsson.

Sigmarsson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Castillo wants to control but Sigmarsson manages to buck him off and is now in Castillo's guard! Nice work there by Sigmarsson! Castillo is breathing heavily. Castillo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Sigmarsson wants to control from the top but Castillo keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sigmarsson passes into half guard. Castillo tries to get to full guard but Sigmarsson has control of the leg. Castillo trying to get back to full guard but Sigmarsson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sigmarsson has eaten all the pies! Castillo is trying to escape the mount.
Sigmarsson is looking to stand but Sigmarsson has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Castillo dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sigmarsson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castillo's waist but Castillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sigmarsson off to one side. Castillo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sigmarsson pinned against the cage. Sigmarsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Castillo tries to close the distance and clinch but Sigmarsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sigmarsson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Castillo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Randy Castillo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Sigmarsson. Sigmarsson trying to control the position here. Castillo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Castillo wants to control from the top but Sigmarsson keeps moving. Sigmarsson wants to get back to his feet but Castillo is in a dominant position and won't allow it. That could spell trouble for Castillo! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sigmarsson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Castillo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Castillo wants to hold on but Sigmarsson pushes him away. Castillo is looking to improve his position but Sigmarsson isn't that keen on the idea. Castillo is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sigmarsson avoids the attempt from Castillo to control. Castillo really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Castillo here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Sigmarsson goes for an armbar but Castillo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Castillo. Castillo throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sigmarsson keeping moving, preventing Castillo from controlling successfully. Castillo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Horrible takedown by Castillo or perhaps it was just good defense by Sigmarsson which made him look bad. Sigmarsson stuffs the takedown attempt from Castillo. Castillo gets slowly back to his feet. Sigmarsson wants to clinch. Sigmarsson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Castillo. Castillo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Castillo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sigmarsson is looking for a sweep. Castillo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sigmarsson striking from half guard on the bottom. Sigmarsson trying to hold on to Castillo's head to control him but Castillo postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Sigmarsson closes the distance and clinches up with Castillo, looking for a takedown. Sigmarsson pushes Castillo against the cage but Castillo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sigmarsson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Castillo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castillo cracks Sigmarsson with an elbow. That is naaassty. You can see the frustration on Sigmarsson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Castillo decides to stand back up. Sigmarsson misses with a takedown attempt and Castillo counters with a single leg into guard. Sigmarsson didn't expect that. Castillo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sigmarsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sigmarsson throws a sloppy head kick and Castillo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Castillo. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sigmarsson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Castillo is looking to improve his position but Sigmarsson isn't that keen on the idea. Sigmarsson avoids the attempt from Castillo to control. Sigmarsson throws some wild stikes that Castillo manages to avoid easily.
Castillo is squirming around, avoiding Sigmarsson's attempts to control the action. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Castillo is looking to improve his position but Sigmarsson isn't that keen on the idea. Jon Sigmarsson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Castillo regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Castillo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castillo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
