Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn drives through with a takedown into guard. Penn postures up.
Penn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Penn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Penn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Penn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Penn with a flurry of punches that miss. Penn looking to pass the guard. Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Penn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kent is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kent working for a triangle but Penn defends it easily.
Kent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Penn defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn drops back looking for a leg! Kent is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kent manages to kick Penn off! Penn jumps back into Kent's guard. Penn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kent throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
