Alarinne's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Chiquita Ska Band - American Jesus. Silva has chosen Ice Ice Baby as his entrance music. Markku Alarinne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alarinne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alarinne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Alarinne looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Alarinne looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Alarinne on the side of the head.

Silva moves into range and connects with a jab.

Silva lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Alarinne can't get the takedown.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alarinne closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Alarinne pushes Silva against the ropes but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Markku Alarinne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Alarinne shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Alarinne closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away.
Silva paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Alarinne shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Silva fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alarinne on the side of the head.
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Oh Alarinne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Alarinne falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
