Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kathos Krathulian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason comes to the ring accompanied by White Zombie - Electric Head Pt. 1. The key to victory for Jay Mason has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Krathulian or perhaps it was just good defense by Mason which made him look bad. Mason tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mason circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mason with a poor takedown and Krathulian counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Krathulian passes Mason's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Krathulian throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mason trying to control but Krathulian postures up.

Mason gets full guard. Krathulian thows a big elbow that misses. Krathulian loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Krathulian fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Krathulian shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mason sprawls well. That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mason with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Jay Mason dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Krathulian tries to free his leg and advance position but Mason is retaining full guard. Krathulian pushes down on Mason's leg and manages to get into half guard. Krathulian throwing shots but Mason is blocking nicely. Krathulian thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Krathulian thows a huge punch but Mason dodges it nicely.
Krathulian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mason pushes Krathulian off looking to stand but Krathulian dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mason tries to clinch up and Krathulian counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mason regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Krathulian. Krathulian throwing strikes but missing. Mason controls Krathulian momentarily but Krathulian frees himself. Mason looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Krathulian throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Krathulian shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mason manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Mason trying to control the position.
Krathulian drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mason dives on top into guard.

Krathulian keeping moving, preventing Mason from controlling successfully. Krathulian is looking for a triangle here but Mason uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Kathos Krathulian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mason tries to clinch up and Krathulian decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mason's guard. Krathulian looking to sit in guard and control but Mason gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mason got a little sloppy there for a moment and Krathulian has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mason has managed to get both his arms back between Krathulian's legs - danger averted. Krathulian wants to sweep here but Mason controlling him for the moment. Mason gets to his feet.
