Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Garion Bel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Brand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brand is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Russell Brand and Katie Perry. Garion Bel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Russell Brand's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Garion Bel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Russell Brand! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brand shoots for a double leg takedown but Bel sprawls well. He's pushed Brand's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bel misses with a wild combination.
Bel throws a right and a left that Brand avoids nicely. Brand fails to land the takedown. Garion Bel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brand throws a quick inside leg kick. Bel throws an overhand right that lands on Brand's shoulder, as Brand tries to avoid the shot. Bel is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Bel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brand shoots in but Bel avoids the takedown attempt easily. Garion Bel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russell Brand. No joy there for Bel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brand fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Brand looks for a takedown but Bel sprawls well. Brand throws a series of punches but Bel avoids them all with ease.

and Brand counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brand. Brand holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Bel wants to get back to striking at distance but Brand won't allow it.
Brand gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Bel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brand is controlling him. Brand tries to free his leg and advance position but Bel is retaining full guard. Bel keeping moving, preventing Brand from controlling successfully. Bel controls Brand momentarily but Brand frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brand prevents Bel from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brand showing good wrestling skills to control the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Russell Brand hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Brand drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brand looks gassed! Brand throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Brand stands up. Bel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brand momentarily.
Bel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brand moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brand tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bel is able to avoid easily. Bel lands a jab. Bel looks to score with a jab to the body but Brand is just out of range. Brand has taken the fight to the clinch.
Brand has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brand is trying to break free. Brand decides to pull guard. Bel controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bel wants to control from the top but Brand keeps moving. Brand keeping full guard, as Bel tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bel preventing the sweep. Brand keeping moving, preventing Bel from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bel content to stall in guard here.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Garion Bel just wasn't active enough. Brand looks to land a combination but Bel avoids it well. Brand changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bel tries to avoid it but Brand manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bel to the ground. Bel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brand will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bel thuds a left hand into Brand's body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Russell Brand dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bel throws out a loose jab but Brand uses good head movement to avoid it. Brand moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Brand shoots in but no luck this time. Bel misses with a double jab
and Brand counters with a head kick. Brand staying out of range there. Bel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brand. Bel scores with a one two! Brand had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bel swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Garion Bel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A shot to the liver by Bel. Beautiful body shot. No joy there for Bel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brand uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bel.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brand closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brand lands in his opponent's guard. Brand is breathing heavily. Brand tries to free his leg and advance position but Bel is retaining full guard. Brand wants to control from the top but Bel keeps moving. Brand won't allow Bel to sweep him here. Brand trying to control but Bel is working from the bottom. Brand advances to half guard. Brand wants to take a breather but Bel is having none of it.

Bel is not content to let Brand control the position. Bel is looking for a sweep. Brand is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brand is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Bel wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bel tries to roll over but Brand keeps him under control. Brand throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Brand prevents Bel from improving his position. Bel wants to stand back up but Brand manages to pass into side control.
Brand stands up. Bel keeps the fight on the outside. Brand is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brand drives through and clinches with Bel against the cage.

Russell Brand showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Brand fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bel manages to avoid it. Brand misses with a body kick. No joy there for Bel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bel connects with a crisp jab. Brand defending well as Bel loads up on a big left hand. Brand shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brand. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bel moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Bel throws a combination that misses and Brand counters with a single leg into guard. Bel didn't expect that. Bel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bel controls Brand momentarily but Brand frees himself. Brand thows a big elbow that misses. Brand advances to half guard. Bel is trying to stand up here but Brand is controlling him well. Bel trying to control but Brand postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brand content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bel won't allow Brand to pass to mount. Bel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bel tries to get out of the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Brand misses with a few strikes there.
Brand tries to clinch up. Bel throws a combination that misses and Brand counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Brand swinging wildly here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A shot to the liver by Bel. Beautiful body shot. Nice uppercut there from Bel. Bel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brand backs up against the cage.
Brand takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brand's head. Donk. Bel catches Brand right on the button with a cross. Brand forces Bel back against the cage and clinches. Bel wants to get back to striking at distance but Brand won't allow it.
Brand content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Garion Bel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice sprawl there from Bel as Brand shoots in. Garion Bel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brand keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bel scores with a jab to the body. Bel getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Brand jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bel throws a right and a left that both miss. Danga de danga de dang - Bel scores with a four punch combination! Brand fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bel tries to bum rush Brand with a series of wild strikes but Brand uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Russell Brand is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bel throws a series of punches but Brand avoids them all with ease.
And that's the end of the fight! Russell Brand comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Brand winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
