Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mustaf Fengap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zero Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mustaf Fengap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zero Kazama!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fengap looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kazama is fending him off so far but Fengap persists. Nope, Kazama circles away and we're back to standing.
Fengap throws a series of punches but Kazama moves out of range.
Kazama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fengap scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Kazama's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fengap tries to move to mount but Kazama blocks the move with his legs.
Kazama tries to bench press Fengap off him but Fengap keeps the position.

Fengap tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fengap has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kazama is pushing Fengap's head away, looking to escape. Fengap manages to hold on to the position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kazama shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fengap manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fengap drops back looking for a leg! Kazama is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kazama manages to kick Fengap off! Fengap jumps back into Kazama's guard.

Kazama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fengap defends well.

Kazama wants to control the position but Fengap says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Fengap is looking to take a break and control but Kazama is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fengap seems to be working for a kimura but Kazama defends the submission attempt.
Kazama preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Mustaf Fengap will probably get the nod.

Kazama manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Kazama shoots in and bounces Fengap off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kazama might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fengap kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kazama has his takedown stuffed

and Fengap counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kazama!
Fengap wants to control the pace but Kazama is squirming around nicely.

Fengap is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kazama has managed to escape the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mustaf Fengap overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kazama holds on and takes a little breather.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Fengap looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kazama flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Mustaf Fengap showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fengap, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
