Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kent Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Stu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kent Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dick Stu! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stu feints and then cracks Powell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Powell down. Powell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stu.
Stu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Powell takes a kick to the side of the head. Stu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dick Stu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Powell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Powell lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stu is looking to reverse the position. Stu wants to control but Powell postures up. Powell with the ground and pound but Stu regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Powell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Powell avoids the attempt from Stu to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell throwing strikes here but Stu is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Powell thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Powell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stu is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stu can do anything to dispel that myth. Powell lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Powell looking to finish with strikes here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The referee warns Stu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Powell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stu looks a forlorn figure.
Stu keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Powell is landing with some decent strikes but Stu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Powell punching from mount but Stu doing a good job of avoiding damage. Powell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Stu is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Powell unloading with bombs! Stu manages to regain half guard. Good work. Powell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Powell throwing shots but Stu is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stu blocking the ground and pound attempt from Powell. Powell is just content to waste time from the top position. Stu takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powell throwing strikes but missing. Stu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Powell. Powell trying to control the position from guard on top but Stu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Powell is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Powell sitting in guard, not really doing much. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kent Powell dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stu.
Powell misses with a few strikes there.
Stu feints and then cracks Powell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Powell down. A nice inside leg kick there by Stu. That's going to slow Powell down. Stu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Powell swings for the body but Stu moves out of range.
Powell fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Stu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Powell. A good leg kick by Stu. Stu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Powell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stu. Stu obviously looking to wear him down.
Donk. Powell catches Stu right on the button with a cross. Stu lands with a slapping head kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stu throws a head kick that misses. Stu takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Powell with a nice cross. Stu lands a nice leg kick that just misses Powell's sensitive parts. Powell is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Stu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Dick Stu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Powell avoids the head kick by Stu.
Stu leaves Powell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Powell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Stu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Powell. Stu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Powell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stu moves away. Stu has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Stu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Powell. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Powell is defended easily by Stu. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kent Powell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Powell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Stu. Stu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Stu connects with a solid leg kick. Dick Stu seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Powell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Powell is looking to stall here but Stu recovers full guard. Stu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Stu wants to sweep here but Powell controlling him for the moment. Powell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stu's guard. Stu trying to control but Powell postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stu is trying to control but Powell manages to pass to mount!

Dick Stu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Powell wants to pass the guard but Stu is keeping the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Powell thows a big elbow that misses.

We're going to have a standup here because Kent Powell wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Powell blocks a head kick by Stu.

Stu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Powell looks to score with a jab to the body but Stu is just out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Powell. Stu does a little dance to reset his feet. Powell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Powell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stu was well out of range. Poor timing from Powell. Stu tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Stu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stu. Powell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Stu walks into a stiff left hand from Powell. Powell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stu swivels and escapes. Powell avoids the head kick by Stu.
Powell loads up on a big right hand but Stu slips the punch. Stu throws out a leg kick but Powell moves out of range and Stu only half commits. Stu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Stu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Powell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stu moves away. Stu throws a head kick that Powell semi-blocks.
Stu thows a body kick. Powell tries to catch it but that hurt him. Stu goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Powell throws a jab but it's blocked by Stu. Powell throws the left hand but Stu avoids the punch easily. Stu throws a solid leg kick but Powell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Stu. Stu scores with a leg kick.
Stu throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Powell takes a swing at Stu's ribcage but misses. Powell throws a jab when Stu was well out of range. Stu avoids the body shot from Powell.
Stu fakes the leg kick and cracks Powell in the body. Powell shoots in looking for a takedown. Stu tries to sprawl out of it but Powell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kent Powell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stu feints and then cracks Powell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Powell down. Stu lands a head kick. Powell smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Stu is looking to land body kicks. Powell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stu manages to avoid it. Stu drops his hands momentarily and Powell takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Powell on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Stu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Powell walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stu. Powell shoots in but no luck this time. Stu gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Powell to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stu trying to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Dick Stu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Stu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
