Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardly kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eminem- Not Afraid. Ali Bang told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Hardly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ali Bang!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hardly lands a jab to the head.
Hardly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bang was well out of range. Poor timing from Hardly.
Bang scores a takedown into full mount!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hardly can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardly manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.
Bang wants to pass the guard but Hardly is defending well.
Bang throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ground and pound from Bang.
Bang scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Bang trying to mount his opponent but Hardly defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardly is pressing down on Bang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bang wants to pass the guard but Hardly is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hardly has Bang pulled in close to control his posture.
Hardly has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bang trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Hardly wasn't doing enough on the ground.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bang checks a leg kick.
Bang shoots in for a takedown but Hardly shows good takedown defense.
Hardly looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bang moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bang throws a leg kick
and Hardly counters by clinching up.
Hardly blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bang lands an elbow just above Hardly 's eye.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hardly.
Bang tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bang tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hardly throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A head punch on the inside from Hardly fails to land.
Hardly lands a nice uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hardly.
Hardly is pushing Bang up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Bang tries to break the clinch but Hardly is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bang has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hardly avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Hardly.
Bang looks gassed!
Hardly is pressed up against the cage. Bang has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hardly down to the mat. Hardly avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dan Hardly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Bang.
Hardly throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bang on the side of the head.
Hardly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bang on the side of the head.
Hardly works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hardly.

Bang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hardly misses with a wild body shot.
Bang fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hardly on the side of the head.
Bang showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hardly.
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hardly as he jumps to the side.
Hardly turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hardly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hardly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bang.
Hardly doesn't manage to clinch there - Bang circles away.
Hardly goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hardly throws a leg kick which misses Bang's front leg but catches the back leg as Bang tries to avoid it.
Hardly scores with a nice strike.
Bang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hardly tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hardly pushes Bang off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hardly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bang on the side of the head.
Bang tries to bum rush Hardly with a series of wild strikes but Hardly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Hardly dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A low kick from Hardly misses
and Bang counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hardly!
Hardly blocking the ground and pound.
Bang thowing shots but they're missing.
Hardly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bang working Hardly over with strikes here.
Hardly wants to control but Bang is having none of it.
Hardly is squirming around, avoiding Bang's attempts to control the action.

Bang throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Bang misses with a head shot.
Bang is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Hardly is in a horrible position here. Bang smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hardly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hardly is squirming around, avoiding Bang's attempts to control the action.

Bang goes for an armbar but Hardly turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hardly.

Hardly wants to pass the guard but Bang is keeping the position.

Hardly is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Hardly got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hardly has managed to get both his arms back between Bang's legs - danger averted.
Bang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hardly trying to control but Bang is working from the bottom.
Bang wants to sweep but no luck.
Bang throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Bang has an active guard here but Hardly has managed to pass into half guard.
Bang is breathing heavily.
Hardly is taking a breather. Bang says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ali Bang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Hardly counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hardly scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bang doesn't seem bothered though.
Bang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hardly swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hardly avoids it really well and circles away.

Hardly scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bang doesn't seem bothered though.
Bang takes one to the side of the head.

and Bang counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bang.
Hardly preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bang thows a big elbow that misses.
Hardly manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bang takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fighters circling - Hardly throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dan Hardly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bang looks to throw a body kick
and Hardly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hardly scores with a one two! Bang had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Bang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dan Hardly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Bang.
Bang fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bang falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hardly makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Hardly dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hardly thumps Bang with a low kick.
Hardly tests Bang's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bang takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bang is rocked!
Hardly lands with a right and another and another! Bang is in big trouble! Hardly lands again and this time it's lights out for Bang! A quality knockout there for Hardly.
