Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rico throws out the jab.
Rico rushes Daley and presses him up against the cage.

Rico has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Daley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Daley dives in and grabs Rico's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rico pushes down on Daley's head and hops out.
Rico closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Daley quickly recovers to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rico is looking to pass Daley's guard but actually Daley recovers to full guard.

and Rico decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Daley's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Daley wants to control from the top but Rico keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Daley fails with the takedown
and Rico counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Daley's guard now.

Daley seems a little lost for a moment, as Rico dominates the positioning.
Rico misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Daley looks to throw the jab but Rico is out of range.
Rico misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rico closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daley to the mat! Daley manages to get full guard.
Rico is looking to advance position but Daley has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Rico is squirming around, avoiding Daley's attempts to control the action.
Rico sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rico is taking a breather. Daley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Rico is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Daley's shoulder. That is not cool.
Daley tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Rico is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Daley can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rico decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

and Rico counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daley won't be happy with that.
