Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Red Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jel Babu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babu lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Santos lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jel Babu has been cut.
Santos closes the distance and pushes Babu back into the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Babu.
Santos tries to circle away but Babu has him pinned against the cage.
Santos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Santos throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Santos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Babu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Babu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Babu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Santos blocks a head kick by Babu.
Santos clinches up with Babu and pushes him back against the cage.
Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Santos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Babu throws a half hearted mid kick.
A jab from Santos does it's job there.
Santos throws a head kick that misses
and Babu counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Santos is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Babu.
Babu throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Babu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Santos rushes Babu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Santos missing with knees to the body.

Santos manages to break the clinch.
Babu throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Santos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Santos drives through and clinches with Babu against the cage.
Babu lands a nice shot to the body.
Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Babu napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Santos has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Santos moves into the clinch successfully.
Santos blocks an uppercut.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Santos as Babu tries to tie him up.
Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Babu walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

You can see the frustration on Babu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Santos is working Babu over with some ground and pound from side control.
Babu is looking to regain half guard here but Santos keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santos's corner calls for a 1-2. Santos obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Babu.
Santos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Babu counters with a head kick.
Babu throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.
Santos looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Babu!
Babu tries to lock up and control but Santos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Babu can't escape the position.

Santos breaks from Babu's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Babu is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Santos cracks Babu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Santos lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Babu is looking to get to half guard.
Babu is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Babu is looking to improve his position but Santos isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Santos is looking to clinch but Babu is avoiding it.
Santos takes a kick to the side of the head.
Santos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Babu.
Babu misses with a body kick.
Santos takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Santos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Babu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Babu tries to bench press Santos off him but Santos keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos looks up at the clock and then as Babu takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Santos smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Babu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Jel Babu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Babu tries to improve position but can't.

Santos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Babu is trying desperately to improve position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Red Santos showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Santos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
