Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marion Brasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marion Brasco! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Brown keeps the fight on the outside. Brasco fails with a takedown attempt. Brasco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brasco gets slowly back to his feet. Brasco shoots in but no luck this time. Jim Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marion Brasco. Brown misses with a wild combination.
Jim Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good standup being displayed there by Brown as he connects with a hook. Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Brown wants to pass to mount but Brasco is defending the position. Brown not landing any meaningful shots this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brasco can do anything to dispel that myth. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brown in particular looking to stall. Brasco trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brasco has hold of Brown's hands but Brown slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Brasco striking from half guard on the bottom. Brown looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brown frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brown landing punches. Brown breaks from Brasco's wrist control and lands an elbow. Brasco tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Brasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brasco tries to reverse the position but Brown maintains control. Brasco taking shots to the head. Brown looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown looking for a guillotine from mount but Brasco is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Brown. Brasco wants to hold on but Brown pushes him away. Brasco really wants to buck Brown off and get back to his feet. Brown looking to control and managing it successfully. Brown landing punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brasco is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brasco and Brown has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Brasco is trying to improve his position. Brasco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Brown creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Brown is putting a hurting on Brasco here, landing some big shots from side control. Brown looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Brasco is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brown's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Brown dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Brown throws a series of punches but Brasco avoids them all with ease. Brasco slips a jab and a cross from Brown.

Brown working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Brasco's head. Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Brasco has wrist control. Brown won't allow Brasco to sweep him here. Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brown works a leg free and moves into half guard. Brown takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Brown is pressing down on Brasco's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brasco is holding on for now. Brown wants to take a breather but Brasco is having none of it. Brasco trying to control but Brown postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brasco wants to get back to full guard. Brown looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Brasco taking some punishment here, with Brown in his half guard. Brown lands strikes from half guard. Brasco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Brown landing punches. Brasco can't escape the position.
Brown with a couple of short strikes. Brown is landing with some decent strikes but Brasco is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Brasco is bucking up trying to escape but Brown cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Brasco takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. BOOM! Brown connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jim Brown dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Brown shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Brasco tries for a takedown but Brown circles away easily and Brown counters with a left and a right that stings Brasco. Brasco moves into range and clinches up with Brown. Brasco has Brown pressed against the cage, preventing Brown from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch. Brasco jumps guard but Brown stands there with Brasco around his waist. Brasco gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brasco is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brasco is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Brown gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jim Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marion Brasco. Brasco fails to pull the fight into his guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Brown lands a nice shot that snaps Brasco's head back.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brown lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brasco has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brasco and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Brown misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jim Brown is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brown wants to control the pace but Brasco is squirming around nicely. Brown lands a big elbow. Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Brown's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Marion Brasco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brasco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Brown showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
