PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Friar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Syn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Friar had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Syn tries to get to full guard but Friar has control of the leg.
Friar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Syn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Friar connects with a nice short shot to Syn's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Syn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Friar manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Friar will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Friar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
