Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tonie Carrol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Kernes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kernes has chosen Reign Supreme - Persevere And Overcome as his entrance music. Jay Kernes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tonie Carrol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Kernes! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kernes moves out of range as Carrol strikes. A slapping leg kick lands for Kernes.
Carrol throws a lazy right hand but Kernes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kernes lands a head kick!
It looks like Tonie Carrol has been cut. Carrol just misses with a punch to the body.
A combination from Carrol does no damage. Carrol swings for the body but Kernes moves out of range.
Tonie Carrol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kernes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carrol sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kernes somewhat. Carrol misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Carrol misses the target. Kernes throws a head kick but Carrol moves out of range.
Carrol throws a one two combo.
It looks like Jay Kernes has been cut. Carrol looks to score with a jab to the body but Kernes is just out of range. Kernes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Carrol misses with the combination.
Kernes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carrol circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Carrol. Kernes showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carrol.

Carrol tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kernes was well out of range. Poor timing from Carrol. The fight stays on the outside here - Kernes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carrol is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kernes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kernes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carrol fails to land with a series of punches.
Carrol is looking to wear down Kernes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Carrol misses with a series of wild punches.
A low kick from Carrol is predictable there so Kernes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kernes stands up and waves to Carrol to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kernes wants to clinch up but Carrol keeps it at a distance. Kernes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kernes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carrol. Carrol misses with a straight left. Kernes walks into a straight right hand from Carrol. Kernes ducks under a wild hook from Carrol. Carrol throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kernes sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kernes is looking to slow Carrol down with leg kicks. Carrol avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Carrol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kernes is fending him off so far but Carrol persists. Nope, Kernes circles away and we're back to standing. Carrol is breathing heavily. Kernes closes the distance and clinches. Kernes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carrol.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Kernes. Kernes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Carrol avoiding damage as Kernes throws knees to the body.

Kernes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kernes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kernes. Kernes takes the fight into the clinch. Carrol takes a shot to the head. A head punch on the inside from Carrol fails to land. Kernes lands a nice elbow from the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Kernes has a couple of punches blocked by Carrol.
Kernes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carrol throws a hook but Kernes blocks it. Kernes thumps Carrol with a low kick. Kernes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carrol pinned against the cage. Carrol gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tonie Carrol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Kernes. A swing and a miss from Carrol.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carrol misses the body punch and Kernes counters by moving into the clinch. Kernes with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Carrol has had enough of the clinch but Kernes keeps him there for the moment. Kernes with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Kernes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carrol is defending well for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kernes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carrol.
Kernes lands an elbow inside that Carrol shrugs off. Kernes misses with a knee to the head. Carrol makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jay Kernes will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Carrol lands a jab-cross combination. Carrol lands with a shot to the body. Carrol swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kernes.
That has opened up Jay Kernes's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carrol lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Carrol misses with an uppercut. Kernes saw that one coming. Carrol loads up on a big right hand but Kernes slips the punch. Kernes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kernes there as he acknowledges the shot.
The cut above Jay Kernes's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Carrol misses the shot to the body. Carrol lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carrol misses with a double jab
and Kernes counters with a thumping low kick. The fighters circling - Kernes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Kernes. A combination from Carrol does no damage. A combination from Carrol does no damage. Kernes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Kernes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jay Kernes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. A telegraphed right hand from Carrol misses the target. Tonie Carrol is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carrol throws a hook but Kernes blocks it. Carrol looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Carrol throws a body punch but Kernes moves out of range. Tonie Carrol is winning the standup battle so far. Carrol rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kernes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Kernes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kernes doesn't manage to clinch there - Carrol circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carrol connects with a single shot there. Carrol connects with the punch. A decent looking cross lands there for Carrol.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jay Kernes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
