The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northman darts in and clinches Hacker up against the cage.
Northman lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Northman drops an elbow to the side of Hacker's head.
It looks like Gerald Hacker has been cut.
Hacker pushes Northman off looking to stand but Northman dives back in and keeps control.
Hacker is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Northman scores with a couple of nice shots.
Northman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hacker looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hacker has hold of Northman's hands but Northman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The cut above Gerald Hacker's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gerald Hacker's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
