Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thorfinn Oden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and FiveX Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oden comes to the cage accompanied by Element Eighty-Pancake Land. Carwin has chosen big hands as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thorfinn Oden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, FiveX Carwin!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oden feints and then cracks Carwin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Carwin down.
Carwin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Oden looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Oden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oden tries for a takedown but Carwin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oden closes the distance and clinches up with Carwin, looking for a takedown. Oden pushes Carwin against the cage but Carwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Oden wants to land a leg kick but Carwin is out of range.

Thorfinn Oden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carwin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oden somewhat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Thorfinn Oden will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
